You do not have the confidence of Shintani. In order to go outside and gather information, you need to raise your status within the household by gaining his trust.

1	Raise your status from low slave by maintaining an obedience of above 90	Self explained. Make sure to have some trust too then just sleep.
2	Ask Shintani if he needs any extra help	Home -> Interact -> Shintani -> Ask -> Button 7
3	Raise your status from slave	You have just to increase trust and obedience at 100. And after you sleep you'll rise you status.

The Nipon Economy

Shintani has tasked you with turning ¤200 into ¤1000 using any legal means possible within the confines of Nipon.

He is both testing your abilities as well as assessing Nipon's economy.

1	Visit the mines	Self explained. Go to main map Leave -> Market -> Mines
2	Visit the trade stalls	Self explained. Go to main map Leave -> Market -> Stalls
3	Visit the Trade Union	Self explained. Go to main map Leave -> Market -> Trade Union
4	Report to Shintani after accumulating ¤1000	Shintani will give you ¤200, just work every in Market -> Mines or in SLUMS -> Divine Touch (after 2pm) Once you got ¤1000 Home -> Interact -> Shintani -> Ask -> 8 (About successfully getting ¤ 1000)

1	Ask Himari about access to the library	Interact -> Himari -> Ask -> 6 (About the library)
2	Obtain the key by either paying Himari or working at the brothel	Work at SLUMS -> Divine Touch and earn ¤500 then return to her.

2	Find Emily and pay her the one-time fee or do her a favor	To be able to train you'll have to pay her one time ¤300. If you don't have the money, she'll ask you to rub her feet. Then you'll pay ¤50 for each session.
